Frederick, MD, January 11, 2013: Key Financial Group, LLC welcomes Sean McComber to their Frederick, MD office.

 

Sean McComber joined Key Financial Group in November 2012 in an effort to better deliver to his clients.  Through LPL Financial, he is able to offer unbiased financial planning services, an industry-leading investment advisory platform, a complete array of insurance and financial products, and unparalleled customer service.

 

Sean brings with him experience being an entrepreneur as the owner & President of Keystone Funding Group, LLC, a small mortgage company based out of Montgomery Village, MD from 2005-2009. There, he experienced intimately the challenges and rewards of being a small business owner. Keystone Funding Group was recognized in Washingtonian Magazine as one of the Most Dependable Mortgage Brokers in the Greater Washington, DC Area in September 2007.

 

Sean is a graduate of The George Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. He began his career in the financial services industry when he joined Prudential Insurance Company of America in 2009 as a financial advisor and completed Prudential’s Financial Planner School in April 2010. He also earned membership in the Million Dollar Round Table in 2010, as well as Prudential Annuities Master Council for 2010-2011, and was a Charter member of Prudential’s Life Concierge Program in 2010. Sean received the Certified Financial Planner designation in September 2012 after completing the education component through The American College and passing the CFP Certification Exam.

 

Sean’s practice has focused on individual financial planning, particularly assisting recently divorced and widowed people recover from these events by helping them redesign and retool their financial goals and strategies. His practice also incorporates family financial planning, particularly helping families protect themselves from financial crisis and grow their assets for college funding, retirement, and estate planning purposes.

 

He resides in a historic home in New Windsor, MD with his wife, where he is actively involved in his community. He currently serves on the Board as the Secretary for the New Windsor Heritage Committee, an organization dedicated to preserving and providing education about the cultural and historical significance of New Windsor. He also volunteers for docent duty at the New Windsor Museum.
